Designed as a replacement for Freon 113, for the cleaning of electronic components, Iso PrepTM has been used for years for that purpose. In fact, its most visible use has been for the demanding cleaning applications involving the U.S. Navy's phased array radars associated with the U.S. Navy's Aegis missile cruisers.
Recently, Inland's engineers discovered that Iso PrepTM worked beautifully as a replacement for the hazardous solvents that were being used by a major oil field services company to clean the tenacious thread lubricant from drill pipe. According to this client, Iso PrepTM has helped them avoid the toxicity and environmental issues associated with the solvent they were using previously.
